Dear Europhoton participant! This year we need to face with the Covid-19 spread in Europe and overseas. As a consequence the conference chairs took the decision to hold Europhoton 2020 as an online all-virtual conference, while keeping the original conference dates from 30 August to 4 September 2020. Knowing that many cannot access to their laboratories, as present action, please note that the deadline to submit your contribution is now Monday 22 June 2020.

This unique conference features the latest breakthroughs in the field of solid-state, fibre and waveguide light sources.
World-renowned researchers discuss the latest developments in the scientific community accompanied by Summer School sessionsat the PhD student and postdoctoral level, and by informal breakout sessions for discussion and vendor display viewing. This conference will also feature a half-day special Symposium.

The Symposium focuses on new results about fabrication and performance of nuclear materials exposed to extreme conditions and radiation. This includes structural and fuel materials and their waste forms. A great emphasis is put on advanced approaches, such as experimental and computational multi-scale plus new fabrication techniques.One of the symposium organizers is Valentin Craciun from the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics (NILPRP).

This laser symposium aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and laser users and manufacturers to exchange and share their experiences on recent progress in Laser Science and Technology, in particular in the field of laser materials processing and synthesis. It also provides the chance to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges from nanoenergy to biomedicine. One of the symposium organizers is Mihaela Filipescu from the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics (NILPRP).

Central and Eastern European Committee for Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (CEEC-TAC), the Italian Association for Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (AICAT) and the Interdivisional Group of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis of the Italian Society of Chemistry (GICAT) invite you to participate at the joint 5th Central and Eastern European Conference on Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (CEEC-TAC5) and 14th Mediterranean Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (Medicta2019) which will be held between 27th and 30th of August 2019 in Roma/Rome, Italy.

The 3^rd International Conference on Applied Surface Science will be held at the Pisa Congress Palace, Pisa, Italy from the 17-20 June 2019. The conference will report on and discuss current research on the role and use of surfaces in chemical and physical processes, related to catalysis, electrochemistry, energy, new/functional materials and nanotechnology. Also the various techniques and characterization methods will be discussed.
