The invention relates to a process of laser micro-texturing of a slide bearing. According to the invention, the process comprises irradiation of the slide bearing (1) with a laser beam (2) with picosecond pulses, at a high pulse rate, the beam (2) being focused and positioned by means of a galvanometric scanner (4) with two axes, where the scanner (4) provides the movement of the focused beam (2) onto the slide bearing (1) according to a spiral, in order to obtain hole dimensions in accordance with the desired texturing geometry, the vertical movement of the scanner (4) being provided by a translation table (5), the slide bearing (1) being coaxially placed on a rotation table (6) which rotates it for micro-texturing according to the circumference of the slide bearing, the switch on/off of the scanner (4) and laser being controlled by a controller (8).
